Classes

Here is a basic overview of all the classes I teach throughout the year. All students are given access to the course materials through their school email. They can access all the materials through the school devices or all google products can be accessed anywhere there is internet. Students can also make google resources available offline so the resource can be viewed on their devices without internet access. 

Biology

This course is aligned to the Minnesota Life Science Standards grades 9-12.

​

We will be using the laptops everyday. Bring them charged and ready to go for class.

7th Grade Life Science

​

This course is aligned to the Minnesota Life Science Standards grades 5-8.

​

We will be using the ipads everyday. Bring them charged and ready to go for class.

Anatomy & Physiology (Every Other Year)​

This class takes an in-depth look at the structures of the human body and how they operate.   This course uses a variety of methods, including both lab and lecture, in order to meet this objective.

Intro. To Engineering

This course introduces what engineering is. Students explore different types of engineering while completing hands on projects. 

Botany and Zoology

The Zoology portion of this class will be focused on the Animal Kingdom and the major Phyla within it. Then we will switch gears in the Botany portion of this class and study the Plant Kingdom and the major phyla within it. Dissections and hands on activities will be a common practice in this course.

Environmental Science CIS (Every Other year)​

This course can be taken as for High School & College Credit. This course takes a holistic approach to current status and future prospects of earth’s life support systems emphasizing human impact on the environment. Topics include interrelationships of organisms and their environment, population dynamics, pollution, major ecosystems, examination of causes and possible solutions to major local, national and global environmental problems. This course uses a variety of methods, including both lab and lecture, in order to meet this objective.​
